Charleston dentist speaks to patients about dental crowns
Dr. Andrew Greenberg is a Charleston area dentist who works with patients to help them understand the dental services they require to meet their needs and expectations. He believes that most dental problems, whether it be health or aesthetics, can be addressed with the assistance of a professional. At Mouth Carolina Dentistry, PA, we want our patients to know that we are here for them to help them achieve a healthier, more beautiful smile.

A better smile may be just a few dental appointments away. Dr. Andrew Greenberg utilizes solutions such as dental crowns to cover broken, weakened teeth. These restorations have also been used to restore dental implants or to fuse to false teeth to make dental bridges. Whatever the purpose, dental crowns may be the solution!
Dental crowns are ceramic “caps” that are custom-made for patients who need to protect, strengthen, disguise, or replace a tooth. These are fabricated for each unique patient and look like the existing teeth in shape, color, and size. They bond over the top of a prepared tooth, or are placed over a dental implant. These versatile restorations are used in both general and cosmetic dentistry, and dentists have used them for decades now in repairing teeth.
Dental crowns are common and they are comfortable to place. Once they are bonded into the smile, patients often forget they have them. Patients are required to take good care of their teeth to extend the lifespan of their restorations. Brushing and flossing after every meal is encouraged, as well as visits to Mouth Carolina Dentistry, PA every six months for cleanings and examinations. Patients should avoid eating or chewing on very hard objects or foods to avoid breaking their dental crowns, as they are still subject to damage. Those who have bruxism or other conditions that cause them to clench or grind their teeth may benefit from wearing a mouth guard at night to protect their crowns, natural teeth, and other restorations from unwanted wear and tear.
Dr. Andrew Greenberg and the team of Mouth Carolina Dentistry, PA welcome patients from the Charleston area to his practice for dental treatments, whether they be simple general care solutions or even full mouth rehabilitation.
